I've been a freelance editor since 1980, and was one of the founding members of the NZ Association of Manuscript Assessors. I'm happy to edit most genres, but poetry is one I decline, and I prefer not to edit horror.  I've edited pretty well every genre, and used to specialise in romance. I've worked on government documents (including the original Resource Management Act), children's fiction, adult fiction, biographies, memoirs, short stories, flash fiction, website content, magazine articles etc. I've also been co-editing a heritage rose magazine for some years, and writing regular articles for The Author in my role as NZ's International PEN contact. I tutor on NorthTec's Applied Writing course, and have worked for Whitireia's course in the past as an outside assessor. I love the variety in my working life though the clashing deadlines are a navigational hazard. :)
